This is one of the most rare items in the Flaming Lips' oeuvre. This is an original copy of their debut LP, pressed in a limited run of 1000 copies on red vinyl.The first pressing was on green vinyl, so this red version comes from the 2nd pressing.This LP was never officially released on any major label, but was put out by the band at the start of their career. It only recently became available on CD, making this original pressing a highly sought after item by fans who love to collect the LIPS on vinyl.
This release is a real curiosity for fans of the band, as it features their original singer, Mark Coyne (Wayne's brother) on vocals. While the sound is very different from what was to come later on as the band achieved wider success, it still bears the LIPS' trademark originality and love of psychedelia. This is a rare chance to get a piece of Flaming Lips history.
SLEEVE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITH SOME MINOR RING WEAR. VINYL IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, PLAYS FINE WITH NO SCRATCHES. PAPER LABELS ON VINYL HAVE THE SIDES NUMBERED IN BALL POINT PEN. COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL INSERT!!
