Description
You have rare records, then there are Ultra rare records. But here you could be looking at a potential one off. These Emidisc crop up now and again, I'm lucky to live with in a few miles of where two of the most influential labels of the sixties and seventies had their factory's. These were factory test pressings or pre release promo. Some came with one side pressed, others with artist whose career started and ended with the only remaining evidence on these 7" disks.
The one we are looking at here, the artists concerned did have noted careers. One side has the American Soul, and now can be labelled as Northern Soul group called The Flirtations, with a track that was released as a B-side in 1969, called " This must be the end of the line ". The other side is a British artist who at the time was part of the in Folk scene, Dana Gillespie. The track is called " Tears in my eyes ". There is a possibility, but I can't say for sure, some of her work at and around this time was produced by Jimmy Page.
