b7" 45 rpm record

Beat City

THE FLOWERPOT MEN

I'm Afraid

THE BLUE ROOM

some web info below:

"This is apparently a highly desirable item since it's the closest there ever was to an (official) soundtrack to the cult John Hughes film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", Hughes having declined to issue a full album: "A&M was very angry with me over that; they begged me to put one out, but I thought "who'd want all of these songs?" [...] I just didn't think anybody would like it. But I did put together a seven-inch of the two songs I owned the rights to—"Beat City" on one side, and... I forget, one of the other English bands on the soundtrack... and sent that to the mailing list." (Quote from Wikipedia)

When I worked at a record store ('91-'96) one of the most common requests was for the FBDO soundtrack to which I would have to reply, SORRY, there never was one; this  limited numbers. After years of searching, I've only seen two, and both have surfaced recently (including the one that now resides in the Northern California 45 Sanctuary (aka my home). The other one (the first to surface) the seller wants a kings ransom for (which I almost paid until this copy popped up).
