THE FLYS – Bunch Of Five * ORIG Zama Records 45 EP / ZA 10 (UK, Stereo, 1977)
CURRENTLY LISTED: OTHER 1970s UK PUNK 45s – SOME VERY RARE ITEMS. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK!
Here’s another rare one. The Flys well crafted debut EP from the end of ’77 was released just as they signed with a major so ended up being quite a small press run. This copy comes with its original die-cut custom company sleeve and is in top condition all round.
The die-cut Zama sleeve is in tremendous condition for a flimsy paper thing. NO splits, tears, writing. Only soft handling creases. Corners are still sharp and not even any nicks or tears to the opening edges or the circular die-cut. Slight discolouration over time but solidly glued flaps on the rear. Great example really, at this late stage, and worthy of a true EX (Excellent) grade.
The black and white picture labels are in perfect shape. NO scrapes, residue, writing or rips/tears. Possibly one spindle trace only – just to the one side. Fab vintage labels.
The vinyl grades a visual strong and true EX+ (Excellent Plus). It shows some faint scuffs and a little light (near invisible) ‘shading’ – none of which affects the play/audio. There’s NO scratches or hairlines and no scrapes, dust or embedded dirt. IT HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays virtually mint with no deterioration in sound. So expect NO snap, crackle or pops, no ticks, clicks or groove wear causing distortion or clipped frequencies. Tip-top listen which will be hard to better. Tremendous, well preserved copy of this top rarity.
