 Artist: THE FOOL
Title: THE FOOL
Label/Cat#: MERCURY / SR 61178

vinyl: EX (Vinyl is extremely shiny and beautiful!! Only a small handful of extremely light surface scuffs/lines that in no way effect overall play. Music plays LOUD and STRONG with no loud or intrusively notable pops or noise; just a very slight bit of normal light crackle here and there. Plays fantastic! Record has likely only seen a few plays ever in it's life. Labels look fantastic as well with no wear or marks at all to mention, tight spindle holes.)

cover: EX- (Gatefold Cover looks really beautiful overall. There's 3 very small promo/cut-out bb-holes and just a touch of edge wear on the very tips of the corners. Looks really fantastic!)

This auction is for THE FOOL's Self-Titled LP from 1968 on Mercury, an original SR-61178 U.S. pressing. Groovy gate fold cover full of amazing psychedelic artwork. This is quite a RARE acid-drenched psychedelic folk record, full of some really far out songs in the style of such contemporaries as Gong, Incredible String Band and the weirder bits of Syd Barrett's solo recordings. The opener is full of crazy tape delay and/or electronic freakiness, really beautiful stuff! This record really has it all, some woozy acid folk slow bits and some jangly wah-wah upbeat freak-out moments complete with wailing bagpipes and raga drones all at the same time. Word on the street is that this quartet were actually also quite accomplished visual artists as well as being a psych-folk group. Their visual work's included painting the Apple building in London & designing several psychedelic album covers, including the Incredible String Band's amazing "5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion" and the Hollies' "Evolution". Past copies of this RARE folk-psych LP have sold for well upwards of 90 dollars in VG+ condition. I have set the opening bid on this fine copy at a VERY LOW 40 dollars with no reserve. Shipping Media Mail within the United States is FREE, or you can upgrade delivery service if you prefer. I will happily ship worldwide. Thank you for viewing my auction. PayPal only Please.

please note: eBay has recently changed their policy on what is an acceptable rating score for detailed seller rating feedback...basically any rating less than 4.75 stars out of 5 is considered quite bad from now on by eBay and can actually prevent sellers from posting any new items for sale...I know it sounds rather harsh on their part, but unfortunately it is also true. Please take this into account if you decide to leave detailed feedback ratings for any of my items here on eBay. I truly do try my absolute hardest to make buyers happy with their transaction, quite often losing some money on shipping/packaging costs in order to hopefully retain my status as someone that can continue to sell future items. So please do leave 5 stars if you kindly would so that I can continue selling wonderful & rare records here on eBay. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this. I know it might seem a little annoying, but I feel it is absolutely necessary at this point to share this knowledge with all buyers and sellers so that it is completely understood by all.
