Description
This is the 2013 LP release of the 1995 German CD by Boston MA (USA) punk/HC pioneers THE FREEZE. LP Released by Gummopunx Records from The Netherlands. Included full color insert with lyrics, photos, and art.
The Freeze formed on Cape Cod in the late 1970's and are perhaps best known for their batch of tunes on the seminal THIS IS BOSTON NOT L.A. compilation record, which also introduced the world to Jerry's Kids, Gang Green, The F.U.'s, The Proletariat, The Groinoids and Decadence (later DYS).
During the 1980's The Freeze released the blistering hardcore EP Guilty Face, and two legendary full-length LP's: Land of the Lost, and Rabid Reaction.
The 1990's began with the LP Misery Loves Company (which included the oft-covered "Talking Bombs"). The next 2 releases were not released domestically in the US, but are both sought-after fan favorites: Crawling Blind and Freak Show. In the late 1990's the band signed to the great Doctor Strange Records out of California and released a split EP with Chicago's mighty The Bollweevils, and The Freeze's final full length LP of the millennium, One False Move.
The current millennium saw the bands's output slow to a drugged-snail's pace, but they did release an EP and finally, an excellent (though thoroughly un-promoted) LP, Calling All Creatures.
This is the only vinyl pressing of FREAK SHOW, and copies are becoming increasingly sought after. The LP is unplayed (never removed from inner sleeve) , and in mint condition. These LP's were never shrink wrapped, so they are as close to new condition that can be found. Inner sleeve is NM, with only a very mild crease on oner corner. The cover is in fantastic shape, but for some mild corner denting and a tiny slit near the bottom right. See close-up photos for detail.
