SIMPLY 'THE HOLY GRAIL' FOR 60's PSYCH/FREAKBEAT COLLECTORS!!!! OBTAINED BY ME FROM SOMEONE WHO WORKED AT EMI.
Probably the most controversial moment in the programme Juke Box Jury's history came on 7 January 1967 when one of the records under review was a psychedelic rock number about heroin addiction, "The Addicted Man" by a group called The Game. The record was slated by a panel of DJs, but the discussion never made it to air as the subject matter of the song led the BBC to cut the segment, meaning the show underran by seven minutes. Afterwards there was a lot of heated debate about whether the BBC was right to censor the show or not, and amid the controversy the record was withdrawn by EMI, though it has gone on to become regarded as something of a freakbeat classic and is impossibly rare as very few stock copies are known to have survived. Demo's are more common.

GRADINGS
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised, as Sealed or Unplayed will be mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks but there will be very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD + The record may have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly throughout, with only barely detectable crackles or pops. A slight noise at the beginning is allowable, but the remainder must be nearly flawless. Definitely no scratches or gouges that a touch with a dry finger can feel. The cover may only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
