THE GERUNDS ( EX-DAG NASTY, DOT DASH)“HITSVILLE, PA” DOUBLE LP LE 100 RED VINYL.
This is the Limited Edition Red Vinyl edition of The Gerunds “Hitsville, PA”. The Red Vinyl edition is limited to 100 copies. This 2021 double LP is the the first vinyl release by the band, having only produced digital releases previously.
This record is sealed and in Mint condition. It comes with a lyric book and a digital download.
The Gerunds is a project by Peter Cortner ( Dag Nasty, Field Day,) and Hunter Bennett ( Dot Dash,). Cortner and Bennett play all of the instrumentation and Cortner does all of the vocals. Yanni Papadapoulos (Stinking Lizaveta,)provides lead guitar on the first track “Gill” and Matt Devine provides Bass and Lead Guitar on “Raymond Chandler’s Los Angeles”.
Power pop with fuzzy warmth to the guitars and interesting songwriting are more akin to Bennett’s Dot Dash than Cortner’s Dag Nasty, but Cortner’s wit and wry tone are all too reminiscent of his resume with his former band. Anyone who is a fan of “Wig Out at Denko’s” ought to check this record out.
