This album saw use for air play, by myself and others, but remains in good condition. It's fun now to look at the comments written on the front cover half a century ago (by one of my fellow DJs):

The photos will tell you the most about the condition of the cover. Taping the edges of the cover was done to prevent albums from falling apart in the station's record library, and was done as soon as we received the record. Both inner sleeves are torn up from use, and are best replaced. They're generic Warner Brothers sleeves from the period, and nothing specific to the Dead. The records themselves show evidence of having been regularly played, but are in good shape. As with many of my records, this one was played only once or twice, and it was then was left at home while I was far away at college. Never got back to being home again or playing the the records I had there, so the record is still in excellent condition, with only the slightest evidence of having been played. Warner Brothers - Seven Arts Records inner sleeve, with other then-current WB album releases shown in photos (including Anthem of the Sun). Sleeve has a split (from age) about 2" long at the bottom.
As noted on the cover, this is a stereo promotional LP for broadcast use, and it's Warner Brothers - 7 Arts # 2WS-1830. Each record side is numbered as well - and the numbers are all shown in the photos. Hopefully you'll enjoy adding this most unusual album to your library of the Dead!
