Description

"THE GUN CLUB - LIVE AT MANILA CLUB, FLORENCE ITALY NOVEMBER 26TH, 1983"  2017 EU limited edition individually numbered 8-track vinyl LP, exclusively released for Record Store Day 2017. On RADIATION RECORDS label. Catalogue No: RRS78. Barcode: 8592735006324.

Jeffrey Lee Pierce and The Gun Club toured Europe in the fall/winter of 1983 between their classic second and third albums, "Miami" and "The Birth, The Death, The Ghost", released in 1982 and 1984 respectively.
This was a period of intense transformation for the band, both in terms of personnel and sound, as they moved from the blues-punk of the first two records to a more polished alternative/indie sound on their third long player. Featuring mostly songs from the first two albums as well as some rarities this live set from Florence in November of 1983 is a perfect distillation of the group. Raw, live, intense LA blues-punk from The Gun Club, released in a limited edition hand numbered deluxe casewrapped 'tip-on' sleeve LP.

Tracklist:
01. Lost Highway, 02. Moonlight Motel, 03. Bad Indian, 04. Bad America, 05. Brother & Sister, 06. Walking With The Beast, 07. Sex Beat, 08. For The Love Of Ivy.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. Thanks for looking! Please see my other auctions too!
