Description
This is a 33 rpm LP record released in 1977 with an abridged dramatization of H.P. Lovecraft's short story "The Haunter of the Dark" by Lava Mt. Records. This No. 11 out of 1000 numbered pressings. The illustration on the front of the sleeve is by Anonymo. The illustration on the sleeve's back is by Joe Wehrle. There's a notary seal on the back. There are two inserts: one has sketches of the people invoolved with this production along with their signatures, the other is a typeset letter from the head of Lava Mountain Records. Narrated by Erik Bauersfeld.
This is a superb production accompanied by great sound effects and music. Bauersfeld is great on this.
The record is in excellent condtion. The record itself has just some occasional mild popping; no skipping or other flaws. Visually, the vinyl is pristine with no scratches or other marks. The sleeve is still in its cellophane but not sealed. There is very little wear on it. The inner liner has no splits on the edges.
I have one other Lava Mt. record currently listed on eBay. This one features "The Rats in the Wall" and "The Outsider."
