A SUPER FINE, ORIGINAL COPY OF THE HELLACOPTERS 2002 ALBUM. THIS IS A BONA FIDE SWEDISH FIRST PRESSING ON THE PSYCHOUT LABEL. WHAT’S MORE THE RECORD IS ENTIRELY UNIQUE IN THAT THE VINYL HAS A SLIGHT BROWN MARBLED EFFECT (POSSIBLY A MISTAKE AT THE PRESSING PLANT).  A GREAT COPY OF AN EXTREMELY RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER RECORD THAT IS FULLY PLAY TESTED AND CLEANED WITH A DISCO ANTISTATIC RECORD CLEANING MACHINE

“…By the Grace of God. This fantastic album somehow manages to touch on 30 years of hard rock history while still sounding fresh. The primary songwriting force in Hellacopters is Nicke Anderssen, one of the founding members of Swedish death merchants Entombed before leaving to embrace his 70’s rock n roll obsession in Hellacopters.  By the Grace of God opens with the title track, spare piano notes giving way to the ringing rise and fall of the opening riff, and a blistering drum roll to kick things off. While this is definitely what I would consider to be a guitar-centric album, I have to give props to drummer Robert Eriksson.  

One of the joys of this album for me is how each song brings its own pleasures to the table, pulling together a delicious combination of tones and influences as could only be accomplished by an absolute fan of the genre. This historic attention to detail really pays off, as the album displays tremendous variety in style as a result of these sonic references, yet still unfolds in a way that is delightfully unique, thanks to strong song writing and perfect execution. By the Grace of God also shares that hallmark of all great albums: incredible consistency. It’s a great listen all the way through.”

GRADING:

SLEEVE: EX A really great example. laminated sleeve shows SLIGHT shelf wear on top and bottom edges. Spine is great. Main surfaces are in superb condition with slight outline of record visible through the sleeve (although no wear-through).

VINYL: EX + Vinyl has a few visible paper scuffs. I have had this record from new and have only played it 3 times that I can remember. I am very anal in my treatment of records so it is in almost pristine condition. It plays through as NM.

The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
