Everyone who has been following this band knows that the Milk Crate Mosh b/w Hey Hey What Can I Do (Led Zeppelin cover) 7” is the band's debut release--a one time only pressing of 500 hand-numbered copies NEVER re-issued. Of that 500, 250 were on black, 200 on blue, and the remaining 50 on “Junk” colored vinyl (mixed scraps of various colors combined), plus in addition to that primary one-time-only pressing there was a subset of 10 test pressings along with 10 misprinted test pressings that features the proper A-side but with 5 songs by some hard core emo crust punk band (as it turned out, its two different bands) but I just labeled em “crusty punk.”

From Discogs: Test Pressing, stamped with a "TIME IS RUNNING OUT" rubber stamp on the reverse of the cover images, and hand numbered out of 10. Proper test pressing is usually paired with the rejected test pressing that had an incorrectly paired B-side plate, which is actually the B-side to the Occam's Razor/They Found My Naked Corpse Face Down In The Snow split. Records are labeled as "proper" and "Crusty Punk" on the inner sleeves to denote which is which.

Originally released on my label, Empirical Recordings back in 2004. It came out BEFORE the band's debut full-length album.

I say, these are without dispute THE RAREST OF RARE Hold Steady records in existence. I know this for fact as I am the person responsible for putting this record out.

All offerings are based on a visual grade, As mentioned previously, I typically gravitate toward the conservative end of the scale with most things generally being better than they’re described as I believe in managing expectations.

Using the Goldmine visual grading standards: Mint, Near Mint, Very Good+, Very Good, Good+, Good, Fair, Poor. If you are not a familiar and or a well seasoned collector, I encourage you to look up their grading system and familiarize yourself.

As a general rule the only time I’ll list something below Very Good condition would be if it is extremely rare and or exceptionally hard to find (and will say as much up front).
