This is a really enjoyable album. I bought this copy a few years back and it has been housed safely within my collection in a new plastic sleeve and the record itself stored separately ever since. After hearing the CD remaster, I longed for a vinyl copy and paid a rather extortionate price for this much rarer stereo copy. It is by no means mint, so don't expect an archive copy, but it's a beautiful much loved copy nonetheless. Collectors may know that the first edition stereo copies of this album were unbanded (like 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band') meaning that there are no dividing lines between tracks and they more or less run into each other. This was unique to the UK and only on first edition stereo copies.

The matrix numbers are YEX 659-1 (side 1) and YEX 660-2 (side 2)
The sleeve is the original Garrod and Lofthouse cover with the PMC 7039/PCS 7039 flipback front cover and PCS back cover. This was done to keep production costs down, so that front covers could be used on both stereo and mono copies. The cover retains its original shine but has obviously aged slightly. A couple of handling marks here and there but no handwriting, no ringwear, no rips, no seam splits, no tears and a fully in tact and legible spine. The cover still retains its original vibrancy. The only noticeable defects are some rubbing where the laminate hasn't covered the spine-side flipback and a few light creases, visible under strong light. Nonetheless, still a beautiful cover.
The beautiful thick slab of vinyl is the usual quality of a 1967 Parlophone pressing. The vinyl still retains 100% of its original shine although when held under very strong light, scuff marks (possibly from sleeve removal and needle ware) are visible. The vinyl has the fantastic sonic quality expected of 1960's pressings, and I may add the album sounds spectacular in stereo as opposed to mono. A full flawless stereo mix has been created, which seems to have been created with more care than the mono mix. The 1967 stereo mix features none of the flaws that both the mono mix and the new CD releases feature and has more 'body' and 'depth' to it. On my turntable, with the Ortofon cartridge weighted to 3grams, the album plays very well with no pops, loud clicks or scratches or sticks. It does however feature some surface noise all the way through. The sonic quality shines through but the surface noise is certainly audible, especially on quieter parts and the last track 'Butterfly'. It is most noticeable through headphones obviously, but less so through correctly set up speakers. The labels have a few spindle marks, but no major defects. The KT tax code is visible on the side 2 label. The vinyl comes with the original 1967 EMI advertising inner. It retains its original colour and has not faded. The only thing letting it down is the album's catalogue number (PCS 7037) has been written on it at some point (Pictured) and there are some handling marks. 
This is a very presentable copy of the album, the last Hollies album to feature Graham Nash. It has been played and stored with great care and attention from me, but the previous owner obviously played the album a bit. As I mentioned, don't bid if you want an immaculate copy to sit in a drawer and sell in 10 years. If you're a music lover and want a decent rare and very enjoyable stereo copy, then I'm sure you'll be happy with this copy.
I was very pleased when this album arrived a few years back as I'd been on the look out for a decent stereo copy for some time, they hardly ever turn up as stereo was originally sold in such a small quantity compared with mono copies. This copy has certainly sat proud in my collection, and I loved the album so much that I bought an archive copy of it, hence I am selling this one for someone else to enjoy.

The record will be removed from the sleeve (not that I've ever stored it in the sleeve anyway) and the sleeve kept in a protective plastic sleeve. For all bidders overseas, I cannot ship to some countries due to unreasonably high postage costs.
