These two weirdos walked out on stage, the short one, in a Beatle haircut, carrying a fiddle and a banjo, and the tall one a guitar. The tall guy sat down in a chair, forming a set of angles not unlike a grasshopper viewed head-on. He hit three notes on the guitar and the short one started weaving around in such a way that his fiddle bow was in contact with the strings, but nothing else stayed in the same place for very long. He looked like he was trying to inhale his mustache. And what were those words they were singing to "Black Eyed Susie"? Then a rapid-fire rap from the short guy and they were into something about kicking a gong for eu-phor-i-a. The audience's collective head was reeling. Who were these maniacs, anyhow?
