Now this is a little more like it (after their poorly executed and poorly received debut), a finer effort all round, Duane's guitar is right up front and close, and he's showing some real invention within the restrictions of the pop sound that the producer was aiming for.
He also plays an electric sitar on the strangest cut here, an instrumental cover of Beatles' "Norwegian Wood."
From the opening bars of the title tune, one gets the message that this is a group with something to say - the guitar flourishes, the bold organ and piano by Paul Hornsby, and Gregg Allman's charismatic vocals all pull the listener better than most of the psychedelic pop of the period

Clean, unmarked labels with just one spindle trace evident on Side One

Barely, if ever played and sounding like new - slight touch of low-level surface noted on some of the track divisions but I did not clean this copy as it looks so immaculate so this will no doubt disappear after a clean/few spins - nothing else to fault the clean, crisp sound - a fine loud *MONO* cut
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD+
Strong, sharp edges and spine - deep gloss to the laminated surfaces - only real fault is a small nick on the back opening edge (please see close-up photographs) and soft creasing to one corner
