Description

Here is a great rare 1973 record called "Bongo Rock" by the Incredible Bongo Band.

Here is a sample (not my video):  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osgjTEXWDKw

If you can't find a break in there, well, gimme a break!

This is an original pressing on Pride, not an inferior modern repressing.

Talk about breaks, this entire record is like one big break!

Full of funky bongos (natch) and garagey psychedelic fuzz guitars.

The cover is nice, with light ringwear.

Back cover has light ringwear and some light creases at the top.

The vinyl has a scratch on side A that causes clicks through song one ("Let There Be Drums") and the first minute of "Apache".

Now for the good news:  First of all, "Let There Be Drums" was released as a single, so it can be purchased cheaply if you need it.

Secondly, the clicks on "Apache" disappear long before the amazing extended bongo solo in that song.

Thirdly, these two songs have alot of loud parts that almost drown out the clicks.

The other songs, including all of side two, play beautifully, with a bit of occasional very low noise.

This sold recently for 112 dollars.

A great rare piece of funky breaks history.
