Description
The Incrowd- That's How Strong My Love Is UK 1965 EX+ This acetate is part of the collection of Radio Luxembourgs dj acetates. This was to be a Parlaphone Release 30/4/65 R5276.
The sound/cutting engineer initals AB are for A B Lincoln..
Band members include Keith West and,Steve Howie later they would change their name again to Tommorrow (1967)and when they split up in 1971, Howie formed UK band YES.
Radio Luxembourg had its own recording studio and this acetae may have been pressed there but more likely cut in the Uk and sent to one of Radio Luxembourgs Djs.
Early 1965 Four Plus One had firstly cut a up tempo emi disc of the blues classic 'careless love' in Febuary 1965 they had a record deal with Parlaphone. There first and only .uk release under this name was 'time is on your side' which flopped. At the same time in the US the Rolling Stones had a No1 with the same track. This acetate was cut at the time when the band was going through some changes including there name. So thats why the acetate has Four Plus One and later crossed out and their new name The Incrowd added.
The acetate is in EX+ condition and plays perfectly. Only played it once as acetates wear down with each play. This has only been played a few times. A must for any serious 60s Beat collector.
