MEGA RARE SOUTH AFRICAN 5 TRACK 12" ACETATE !!

Welcome to a very rare record auction.

This auction is for a GENUINE double sided 12" acetate featuring 4 different tracks from The Jam's 1977 debut studio LP 'In The City'.

This acetate was cut by Polydor as a promotional tool. Fans/collectors will know that this EP was never commercially released in South Africa or anywhere else in the world. Side A of the acetate had 5 tracks but they are blank tracks and do not play music. The label clearly states that this is an 'Advance Proof Copy (Not For Broadcast)'. It also lists the producers and the year of it's pressing (1977). This is shown in scans 1 & 2. Side B contains the 5 tracks listed above and no label (as shown in scan 3).

This disc was part of a collection purchased from a man who had worked in the music industry overseas for many years during the 1970's & 80's. The record itself plays at 33RPM, is in VERY GOOD condition and is housed in a plain white sleeve. This is a totally ONE OFF pressing!!!
