Description

This is an original Photo Folio of "The Jazz Scene" by Norman Granz. It is signed and numbered by Norman Granz, number 3595 of 5000.

"The Jazz Scene" is on 6, 12" Mercury 78RPM records. This is the complete Photo Folio that has a black outer cover and there are 6 records and many full page photographs of all the jazz greats of the time. It also has a double size fold out drawing by David Stone Martin. The records included are Neal Hefti sides, Lester Young & Coleman Hawkins sides, the Ralph Burns side & George Handy side, Charlie Parker side & Willie Smith side and the Machito side & Bud Powell side, and the Duke Ellington sides. The folio measures 12 1/2" X 15" and is loose leaf bound.

Full Disclosure: While I was trying to get all the information on this my puppy chewed on 2 areas of the outer cover, the contents are fine. On the upper left side the teeth marks went through to the top corner of the photo that is glued to the inside, Also there are a few teeth marks on upper right corner of front cover they did not go through cover. The middle back of binder is shown in pics too. It could be repaired.  All is shown in pictures above. Some of the photos do have some fingerprint smudges, and the pages have some yellowing. One of the photos has a tan mark, shown above in pic. As far as the records go they were stored properly by my father. I have no way of knowing if there are any skips or scratches on the records since I do not have any way to play them and check them out I will accept returns, must be in same condition as sent. No international shipping. Shipping is UPS Ground.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions, I'm happy to try and answer them.

I just wanted to add that I looked over all the records and did not see any flaws or damage whatsoever. They all appear to be in excellent shape. My father was the only one to handle the records as no one else was allowed to. Go ahead and bid! You have nothing to lose as I will except them back if you are not happy with them as long as everything is in the binder. Happy Bidding!
