Thief In The Night LP - THE JESUS GENERATION (Gospel World GW-SLP-467)

Original 1971 U.S. stereo LP.  VERY GOOD private Christian garage-pop/garage rock album by this Texas sextet. They turn pop/rock hits like "Help," "Something," "You've Made Me So Very Happy" & "Bridge Over Troubled Water" into non-secular praises by changing up a word here & there (and dig the "Day In The Life" ending to "Help," very coool). And they turn "Amazing Grace" into a fuzzed-out garage/psych version of "House Of The Rising Sun," complete w/ flashy guitar solo. Plus, they are very fine vocalists to boot. This is probably the most teen-oriented Christian album I've ever heard & it's quite well done - definitely recommended. (And not forgetting the day-glo psych front cover either; these cats had their finger on the pulse of the hip pop world, most certainly, far more so than most Christian artists of the time.)

Disc = EX- to EX (somewhat GLOSSY - only a few lite, thin hairlines; however, the disc kind of has a 'dull' look to it, if that makes any sense; plays about as it grades, w/ some scattered lite background pops/clicks & only lite, even background noise, mostly only noticeable between tracks; a MOST SATISFYING listen)

Cover = see pix; ring/general wear (worse on back); some wear + small chipping along front right edge; several small chips/cracks along front bottom edge; wear in corners; name written in back top left corner; chipping in right corner of top seam; wear + chipping on both seams (worse on bottom); wear on spine; any questions?, please ask

Labels = see pix; a few faint spindle marks by center hole; lite wear around center hole (worse on 'that side'); small pieces of clear tape on 'this side' only; lite rub wear around outer edge
