THIS IS AN ODD ONE:
The original of this has the catalogue number K13577 which is on the label and scratched into the deadwax, I’ve seen this on other original pressings I’ve seen over the years.
The bootleg has K-SP-106 both on the label and in the deadwax.
This particular record has K13577 scratched into the deadwax exactly as it is on an original, see attached pic…but has K-SP-106 on the label!?
The label is very odd too as it has info on it that is not on any of the originals or the bootlegs I’ve seen or Googled plus it has a much darker, sharper printing than the boot labels.:
Under the lion: 45RPM Peer Int BMI is not on the boot label.
Under the title: (Cashman) is not on the boot label but does not tally with the original writer on a normal Orig!?
At the bottom: Produced by Paul west is not on the boot label but does not tally with a normal Orig!?
The label on the flip is def the label from the b side of a boot!?
The MGM looks to have been drawn on over paint.
P5461 on the right of the label is not on the boot.
The yellow is a darker yellow than the boot.
*check photo 3, this, against photo 4, the boot - totally different.
I’ve put pics up for you to look at as I’ve no idea what this is!?
The vinyl itself appears to be an original pressing, the A side label has information on it that is on neither the original or the bootleg and the b side label is def from a bootleg!?
Confused!? Definitely.
I’ve Googled it and looked everywhere to find a label that tallies with that A side label and can’t find one sold copy over the years that looks like it!?
I’m auctioning it the starting price of a boot as it appears to me, in its present state, to be a one off and the vinyl itself appears to be an original piece of vinyl but nothing else makes sense.
Either way it’s a talking point.
Any info gratefully accepted just to put me out of my misery
