Side A: And The Gods Made Love / Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland) / Cross Town Traffic / Voodoo Chile
Side B: Little Miss Strange / Long Hot Summer Night / Come On / Gypsy Eyes / The Burning Of The Midnight Lamp
Side C: Rainy Day, Dream Away / 1983... (A Merman I Should Turn To Be) / Moon, Turn The Tides... Gently, Gently Away
Side D: Still Raining, Still Dreaming / House Burning Down / All Along The Watchtower / Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)

LABELS: EXCELLENT
Clean, unmarked labels with numerous spindle traces but great solid colour with no imperfections
VINYL Visual: VERY GOOD
All four surfaces have marks/scuffs consistent with a well loved record but they still retain their original deep glossy sheen and none of these marks are feel-able to the touch
VINYL Audio: VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT
First of all let me begin by saying that the sound quality on this original pressing is sensational - crystal clear, loud and incredibly vibrant and being the vinyl junkie I am it still gives me a real thrill to handle a very first 1968 pressing of this iconic record.
This copy has clearly been well played and loved over the years and it has it's faults but none of these bothered me in any shape or form and this is a copy I would be very pleased to own.
My play-check at loud volume revealed the following - which I will break down Side by Side
SIDE A: VERY GOOD
There is some surface on the run-ins/run-outs and quieter track segues and the occasional soft background click but only two patches (on "Voodoo Child") where clicking is repetitive (for about half a dozen revolutions - but still light) otherwise, the sound is clear, sharp and loud and there is no evident groove-wear and no distortion
SIDE D: EXCELLENT
This side plays with little to fault - just some surface on the run-ins/run-outs/track segues and a couple of soft background clicks but no other audible distractions - again, no groove-wear or distortion
SIDE B: VERY GOOD+
There is some surface on the run-ins/run-outs and quieter track segues and the occasional soft background click but only a couple of louder clicks (which rise above background) on "Come On" otherwise, sounds great - no evident groove-wear and no distortion
SIDE C: VERY GOOD+
Again, some surface on the run-ins/outs and the occasional soft background click with only a few louder clicks (above background) on the quiet section between "1983.." and "Moon…." (although after all these years I am still not quite sure where "1983…" ends and "Moon…" begins) - no evident groove-wear and no distortion
So, overall a very nice example - a real pleasure to hear and as I said earlier, a copy I would be extremely happy to own - not perfect by any means but in a bizarre way these imperfections are comforting (I'm sure you know what I mean)
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD
Nice deep glossy sheen - a little rubbing to the outer surface but a beautifully clean interior. Very little top and bottom wear, just a 'knock' to the centre of the spine being the only major imperfection - otherwise, EXCELLENT (my pictures should cover just about everything but if you would like anymore please message me)
