Here we have Keith Tippet (King Crimson) and his group with..."You are here...I am there".

This is such a scarce record on the "POLYDOR" super label from 1970. A blend of jazz/rock which for being over four decades in age is in pretty outstanding shape overall.

Condition :

The cover has a slight tear (1 inch) at the bottom right. Apart from this the whole cover front & back are in excellent condition. With no ripping or record push to the spine at the side, this is still perfectly legible. No handwritten names in ink or biro. Still retains a nice gloss to the print. A little almost invisable sign of ringwear but this is minimal. Out of 100% this recieves 90%

The labels are the orange polydor ORIGINAL and even still retain a part of residue plastic around the centre pin on one side. Very little spindle wear on side -A- only visable under extreme bright light at a certain angle. Side -B- Has a small vinyl excess shard (a sign of very little play) This has only had about three plays at most in 40 years and has not been played in over 35 years. Out of 100% these get 95% for both sides with no rips or tear & no handwritten names or fade. NICE!!

The vinyl has been test played again & also inspected & scrutinised under extreme bright halogen bulb. -A- & -B- sides are both virtually spotless. So clean & fresh looking/sounding its exceptional to have an example of an original in such a high state of appearance & play. No pops or sign of needle thrash, no ticks or skipbacks, no ingrained dust or damp. Sits perfectly flat on a turntable and plays like a dream. Only a couple of very,very wispy hairlined fractures can be seen if scrutinised under bright light & these on my part are being extreme in this description as the vinyl has an outstanding look and retains a mint play. 99% out of 100. Have a look for yourself at the close up photographs provided below this description, taken by myself of the actual item...No effects added is exact as it appears. Stored in a smoke free zone out of direct sunlight for years. Now is your chance to own this impressive & ORIGINAL POLYDOR PRESS!!!! now stored in a poly protective cover to avoid any further knid of damage to the slight tear. So if you have been looking for this or a replacement upgrade vinyl...Then look no further. These are VERY difficult to find indeed.

Record will be packed in a tough custom box DEFENDAPACK mailer as shown in the photos below. The mailer has a locking tab. The record will be placed outside the cover inside a polythene protector between two card stiffeners and sealed at the top with fragile marked masking tape.

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any moajor defects is acceptable

Good (G) Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
