Description
THE KINKS Promo 45 WATERLOO SUNSET b/w KING KONG first released as a single in 1967, and featured on their album Something Else. "Waterloo Sunset" is one of the band's best known and most acclaimed songs having been a #2 hit in the UK, and a top 10 hit in Australia & New Zealand. In the US it completely failed to chart. It was performed by Ray Davies at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. A download of that performance briefly charted at #200 in the UK, while The Kinks original re-charted at # 47.....The song was rumoured to have been inspired by the romance between 2 actors Terence Stamp & Julie Christie stars of 1967's Far From The Madding Crowd. ("Terry meets Julie?)
This 45 is from the KINK KRONIKLES 1972 double lp!
The Vinyl is MINT!
Attn International Buyers: Shipping is $15.00 for one 45 notify me if you'd like to bid!
I'll combine shipping if you're bidding on another item in a day or two. I do most shipping Monday-Tuesday, (you might've noticed I don't list much those 2 days), so I'd appreciate settling invoice then or PLEASE let me know when? It seems the more stuff I list, the more chaos I create trying to segregate the 45s won... from new ones to list and my collection in general, which has already taken over my tiny apartment!
I'm getting old and absent minded. Its a chore trying to keep track of who won what and where the hell did I put that!
As Always Thanks...for looking
