Description

The Kinks' unspeakably brilliant Face to Face LP on original 1966 US mono Reprise R-6228. This copy is lovely. The disc has some marks on it from a plastic sleeve it was in for years, leaving a sort of swirly sheen, but not affecting the play at all. There are also some faint hairline scuffs to be seen in bright light, but it plays just beautifully with barely any noise. There is a faint touch of crackle between songs, but the music instantly overwhelms it. Very light crackles at the beginning of Fancy, but very light and not bad. I just want to mention everything. It is really a great listen and the mono sounds so punchy and present. The cover would be NM except a little tear on the front cover on the right edge (see photo). Otherwise it is perfectly crisp with almost no wear at all. A lovely copy.
