For Auction THE KINKS “KINKS“ ORIGINAL 1964 MONO PYE RECORDS NPL 18096 12" LP SINGLE ALBUM This excellent classic debut album from the "Muswell Hillbillies“ Ray, Dave and the Lads, was released on PYE Records in 1964. The record is in (GOOD CONDITION, for age but apparently skips and "pops" when played) GC good colour and sheen with the Pye label logo. The Album comes with original inner sleeve (GC) and Garrod & Lofthouse LTD. Cover (GOOD CONDITION, for age, a few creases, grubby around edges) GC which is in very good condition for its age with just a bit wear and tear in the corners but nothing too serious. The record album will be packaged, protected and posted first class in a LP card mailer sleeve. This is a definite collectable and "Must Buy" for all Rock and Pop Fans.
Kinks is the self-titled debut album by English rock band The Kinks, released in 1964. It was released with three tracks omitted as You Really Got Me in the US.
The album was re-released in 1998 in the UK on Castle Records with twelve bonus tracks. This reissue was itself reissued in 2004 on the Sanctuary label. A deluxe edition was released on 28 March 2011.[3] Allmusic assessed the album as lacking in consistency, commenting that "As R&B cover artists, the Kinks weren't nearly as adept as the Stones and Yardbirds; Ray Davies' original tunes were, "You Really Got Me" aside, perfunctory Mersey Beat-ish pastiches; and [the] tunes that producer Shel Talmy penned for the group... were simply abominable."[3]
