Matrix : 1096 A1 // 1096 B1    Issue : UK 1st Press

This is the rare 1964 UK 1st Press of 'Kinks' by The Kinks. This genuine and complete 1st press is on the bright pink Pye label. It has the A1//B1 matrix and the earliest Garrod & Lofthouse laminated 'Patents Pending' flipback sleeve.

The record is in Good condition. It has a superb bright shine with a number of light marks on each side. On playing the sound is warm and pretty clear, there are no jumps but there is some light noise. The Pye label has retained its vivid pink colour and the black text is bright and sharp. There is light spindle wear.

The laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Very Good condition. The laminate has a sensational bright shine and the image is still sharp. The colours are bold, the unlaminated back cover has some light discolouration and a small name in the corner but is still bright and the text is clear. The edges have a little wear but are still firm. The whole cover still feels very solid.
