THE KINKS Lola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround (Pye NSPL 18359) UK 1st Pressing MINT-

Early UK pressing of "Lola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround, Part One" by The Kinks on Pye Records.

Originally released in November 1970, "Lola Versus Powerman..." is a concept album of sorts, wherein Ray Davies takes on the perceived corruption of the music industry. Little did he know how bad things would get...or then, maybe he did! Be that as it may, we`re pretty much rid of the music industry nowadays...so who`s up next? It couldn`t be the banks, now could it?

GRADING:

MINT- COVER. Due to its (natural) colour, i.e. white, this cover is a very hard find in good condition. Well, look no further, as this one is (near-) perfect!

A small brown spot (bottom, front center), as well as a light scuff (white on white...) on the rear of the sleeve do not detract from an overall excellent impression. Please see photos for details.

EX+ RECORD with a few very light hairlines from sleeve removal only. A tiny scuff (4mm; in "Denmark Street") is completely inaudible.

The matrix stamps in the runoff grooves are "A 1" and "B 3", making this a very early pressing, issued no later than sometime in 1971 or 1972.

eBay`s maximum mailing cost for the UK is predetermined at £4. Obviously, the new pricing system does not foresee foreign sellers listing in the UK. However, we cannot possibly ship a record to the UK from Continental Europe for this price. Please bid only if you agree with the mailing costs as outlined above.
