THE KINKS LP
Over the next few weeks I will be listing several rather rare records,on behalf of a friend of mine, who currently has no access to a computer..Although not an expert on records, I am a fan and collect 60s soul.I will play grade all the records I list,and will give honest and accurate descriptions.I'm using a Technics SL-MK 2 Turntable and Sennheiser HD 415 headphones to listen,not exactly Hi - Fi but it does the job.

I'm out of touch, I didn't realise how rare this has become in Mono and how godlike the Kinks really are,this is an amazing LP.Side 1 plays through with some background noise which is, as you might expect more audible in between tracks and in quiter passages.There are about 6 - 8 audible clicks through the last 10 seconds or so of Picture book. There is an audible and visible scratch that runs through the last 30 seconds of big sky and into Sitting by the riverside.It comes and goes and doesn't ruin the listening experience,the overall sound is clear and bright and withstands being played at volume .Side 2 plays through with some mild background noise and some light pops but again is quite crisp and an enjoyable listen.
The sleeve has a bit of a dented corner (bottom right),and some wear on the top and bottom of the gatefold part of the sleeve.There is a small tear on the bottom right of the back cover.The spine is a bit flattened but basically in good shape.
I suppose the overall grade must be vg / vg ++,Definately a good play copy.
