THE KINKS “The Kink Kontroversy” original Cdn Pye shrink M-

1966/Cdn/Pye NSPL-30083 …..here’s a gorgeous original Canadian stereo pressing of this rare lp. The cover is in the shrink and strong ex to M- condition, there is just a hint of aging along the opening edge, otherwise no issues, clean and solid with no splits or delete. The vinyl is a deep groove pressing and in M- like new condition and plays clean. The labels are clean with no wear and one label has a couple of light spindle marks. A TOP copy for your collection! The Kink Kontroversy is a rock album by the English band The Kinks, released in 1966. It is a transitional work, with elements of both the earlier Kinks' styles (heavily blues-influenced songs such as "Milk Cow Blues," and variations on the band's hits from 1964-65 such as "Till the End of the Day") and early indications of the future direction of Ray Davies songwriting styles ("The World Keeps Going Round" and "I'm On an Island"). The album's title is a mocking reference to the notorious reputation the band had developed over the previous year, including onstage fights and concert riots in Europe, which led to a ban on the group's concerts in the United States.

MINT: as stated with no defects

NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
