Description
This is an excellent original mono pressing of the Kinks LP, Face to Face, released by Reprise Records in 1966. This LP is considered by many to be one of the best of all of the group's albums. This LP was only recorded with mono master tapes so that any pressing identified as stereo is rechanneled or fake stereo. The LP includes 2 very recognizable commercial hits, Sunny Afternoon and Dandy.
As to grading, I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG ++, I prefer to use grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some. Most of the items I am selling will be in the Excellent to Near Mint range, with only a very few lower that are listed due to extreme rarity.
The LP is in excellent condition and is visually very close to near mint. The only visible blemishes are few very minor barely visible and inaudible scuff/hairlines. . The LP has been play graded using headphones after having been cleaned by hand, and plays very nice and quietly throughout, with minor exception of a barely audible tick at the start of cut Fancy on Side 2. The cover is in very good plus condition. All of the corners are slightly worn. The seams are strong with no splits although there is minor rub wear/loss of color. The spine is still strong with no splits. and the product information clearly readable.The front and back are the cover are in very nice condition with vibrant color on the front cover There is visible some ring and other spot wear on the back cover. There is also slight ring wear near the mouth at middle of front cover. Overall it is still very nice cover.
The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned in the same condition .Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions. The LP will be separated from the cover when shipped to prevent seam splitting.
