Without dispute the top singers of the golden opera era: Maria Stader; Rita Streich; Lisa Otto; Ernst Häfliger; Dietrich Fisher-Dieskau; Josef Greindl, etc., etc. The RIAS Symphony Orchester Berlin conducted by the legendary conductor Ferenc Fricsay. 3 LPs on the original HELIODOR (Germany) stereo. The set number is SLP 2701003 and it comes in a nice gatefold album with a magnificent large format booklet with photos of the cast and the conductor that can be easily framed for lasting memories.
