THE MARAUDERS were a SACRAMENTO based band that started out as a very popular SURF BAND [they opened a WEST COAST TOUR with THE BEACH BOYS!] that transitioned into a KILLER GARAGE BAND with this record before changing their name to THE WAPPHLE and trying out PSYCHEDELIC music for one release on Elektra Records! In fact, Skyview Records was owned by GLENN STRAWN's parents and named after their SKYVIEW drive-in movie theatre! I used to see these guys live at teen centers and dances around Sacramento and they were really great! They were SACRAMENTO's TOP SURF BAND for several years and played often with THE BEACH BOYS here! This 1966 45 "SINCE I MET YOU" has long been considered a GARAGE BAND CLASSIC by GARAGE LOVERS! And, the proof is in the grooves. This copy came from the late GLENN STRAWN's personal stash and has never been played! Every copy of this record comes with a blemish in the vinyl that DOES NOT AFFECT the sound at all, that is why I grade it NM! This record is in FANTASTIC TRUE PRISTINE MINT condition!
