LOOK-KA PY PY Lp by THE METERS produced by  ALLEN R. TOUSSAINT and MARSHALL E. SEHORN recording engineer RODNEY MILLS. Original USA 1st pressing on JOSIE label (JOS 4011), from 1969. Classic Bayou funk item and the 2nd studio album by this legendary group from New Orleans. Recorded at Le Fevre Sound Studios, Atlanta Ga. An all instrumental and killer session featuring their trademark, syncopated funk take on the blues. Sparse sounding rare groove with raw funky drums galore :) Sampled in hip hop by N.W.A. / Ultra Magnetic MC's / Gang Starr / Cypress Hill / Jungle Brothers / 2Pac etc. We have recorded FUNKY MIRACLE / YEAH, YOU'RE RIGHT / LITTLE OLD MONEY MAKER / LOOK KA PY PY / RIGOR MORTIS / PUNGEE / THE MOB and DRY SPELL for our soundclip. Great for DJs. Tons of sleazy breaks / beats / loops and samples. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG NWA

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition overall with scattered old mildew / a mini section of spidery abrasion marks to the first track of each side and some hairlines / faint scuffs elsewhere. Light surface noises. Soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip) but mostly to "Look-Ka Py Py" theme. The thick card, paste on sleeve is in strong VG+ condition overall regardless of any light general wear and the circa 2.5 inch seam crack / split to the bottom edge (from the open side). Some ring wear marks / corner wear / edge wear and a little spine wear in places with some flakey chipping (but all quite common so to be expected). Small stain to front bottom edge. Still a sharp looking item. Bright and clean. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Lp!!! 2 pac  Neville
