Description
This is another hard to find LP, The Meters self titled album on Josie, from 1969...This debut? set shows them already on top of their game, laying down the funk...This album has been to a few parties, apparently...I'll have to break this down by side and by song...Side One is very visually clean, has a bit of surface noise , but is a great listening experience, easy VG/VG+ Side Two is not as pretty, It has some pretty (in)decent marks and scrapes on the last three tracks, but track 1 through 3 play like champs ( gotta love deep groove lp's)..VG/VG+...Side 2 Track 4 Ann plays well but you hear a noticable scratch towards the end...VG....Side 2 track 5 Stormy sounds the same but then has one skip, in the last minute of the track..VG -...Side 2 track 6 Simple Song, had the unfortunate luck to be the song someone wanted to hear a lot..... no skips, not unlistenable, but quite scratched..VG - ....The cover has a bit of discoloration on the back, seam damage on the side, a bit of ringwear, VG ( see photo) On discogs, you can't touch this LP for under 150 dollars in slightly better condition...This is a great listen, save those last two tracks, I assure you...I accept returns, satisfaction is guaranteed...Shipping is 4.00 in the US Media Mail....Thanks for looking.....
