THE MICKEY FINN - " GARDEN OF YOUR MIND / TIME TO START LOVING YOU ", Direction/CBS (58-3086) 1967.
This is the ultra rare 1967 Psyche single by The Mickey Finn - an absolute stand-out record of the era that stills sounds just as fresh and exciting today.
Original English pressing/issue.
Rated in the 2010 Record Collector guide as a £160 single which I have seen in genuine mint condition make over £250 in an online auction, I am not worried about this 45 not selling for at least a half decent price so I will start this auction at 99p just to get things moving!
This record has been professionally cleaned on my MOTH record cleaning machine.
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT- (Under my bright grading lamp I can make out a couple of faint surface marks - but these do not translate into any kind of interference/noise during playback. There is just the very faintest of surface noise during the silent run-in which disappears when the music starts... otherwise there is no excessive surface noise, clicks, pops or distortion, etc. Although this is clearly a played secondhand record, it still plays strongly sounding clear and vibrant. A great "honest" copy which if it had not been for the slight visual marks and surface noise during the silent run-in would have made the full "excellent" grading. Providing you are prepared to accept that you are listening to an original 1967 psyche single, not a bland remastered CD from the noughties, this 45 will not disappoint! Note: I have thoroughly tested this record in my Linn LP12 turntable (which is generally quite critical test) and stand by my grading and description, although I cannot guarantee exactly how it will sound on your turntable - sorry to be so uptight, but there are some very silly people out there.)
SLEEVE = EXCELLENT- (No rips, tears, stains, defacing, etc. A little creased but much like the vinyl, a great "honest" secondhand record sleeve - see photos for further clarification)
NOTE: It's probably worth noting that we are an actually physical record shop trading for over twenty years, with literally decades of record grading and trading experience under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the self-proclaimed experts and have-a-go-heroes that currently clog up ebay, we know how to grade records! Please read my description carefully before you bid and you should be perfectly happy with your purchase - many of my gradings include a certain degree of "ebay caution".
