Description

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP


INCREDIBLY RARE 1962? TM-230 yellow label Hollywood? first pressing on Tamla in glorious mono with black text, company address above the spindle hole, overlapping globe and record with maroon and gray coloring, TAMLA spelled out in a semicircle above the globe, side indicators to the left of the center hole in lower case with a capital "S" and XCTV 83642 1KE H/XCTV 83643 1KF H etched in the dead wax, respectively, on sides one and two!!!  Release year is assumed to be 1962 but cannot be confirmed as there isn't a single entry for this pressing anywhere in the gargantuan, all-knowing Discogs database whatsoever.  THAT'S how you know it's rare. LP side 1 is VG- with a few small scratches that can be lightly felt but plays great with very little background noise and side 2 is VG/VG- visually only with some light scuffs but plays fantastically.  Cover is G- with a piece of thin transparent tape on the top edge and a small 5" piece at the opening on the bottom.  

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED)  NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
