MOTOWN COLLECTORS - ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE ISSUES - ALWAYS HARD TO COME BY.

One of the rarer of the picture sleeve issues and seldom available, here's a very nice original USA first issue copy with the elusive picture sleeve of this great pairing from THE MIRACLES with "I'LL TRY SOMETHING NEW" and backed with "YOU NEVER MISS A GOOD THING" on the US TAMLA imprint # T 54059.

Pricing has always been partly determined by the condition of the sleeve rather than the record itself and finding a copy with a decent matching picture sleeve has always been a challenge as many have become soiled and dog-eared over time with heavy creasing, rips, written annotations, price stickers, coffee staining as well as the inevitable deletion drill hole and ring wear. On a scale of 1 through 10 with "ten" being mint, I would rate this sleeve as a "6" with light ring wear on both sides but with good seams and a small area of storage rub on each side and without written annotations.

This copy plays perfectly throughout with top audible quality and remains in excellent condition (plays as mint minus) with minimal crackle on the run-in and run-out groove and light surface sleeve rubs not affecting play. The "two globe" first issue style labels are very clean on both sides and not spoiled by a deletion drill hole and with little in the way of ring wear making this a top copy of this rare combination for the DJ or collector (see picture scans). The record in this format books at £85 in a certain East Midlands price guide in mint minus condition.
