This CD-4 format discrete quad pressing features a slightly different mix from the stereo counterpart.
Most notably the echo effect on 50/50 sweeps around all four speakers in 'a vigorous circular motion' and the guitar solos are staged in different sonic placements.
There is also a significant print difference on center spread of gatefolds. One version simply has 'sepia' & black print,THIS VERSION has a solid brown/yellow color to the background areas.
THE VINYL IS EXCELLENT MINUS WITH A VERY FEW VERY THIN LIGHT HAIR LINES AND NO FELT SCRATCHES OVER THE VERY SHINY, SHARP VINYL.
GATEFOLD JACKET - IN VG+ SHAPE , SHOWS RING WEAR, NO SPLITS - NO WRITING OR LABELS - SHOWS BUMPING TO EDGES AND CORNERS . -HEAVY US CARDBOARD - SPINE IS VG++ FULLY READABLE WITH CORNER BUMPING AND NORMAL WEAR . LABELS ARE VERY BRIGHT WITH NO DAMAGE AND LITTLE NEEDLE MARKS NOT A CUT OUT, NO PUNCH HOLES OR SLITS

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY.
Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft. These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not usually sound. Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs
Mint
This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!
Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.
Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.
Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks
Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.
Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing
VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.
VG minus, just a smidgen below VG
