Description
THE MUSIC OF CECIL PAYNE, Strata-East 1973, Dolphy Series, NM vinyl. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail. This is from a defunct radio station collection. I used to be a DJ there, and I can tell you they had a very conservative jazz format. So, I don't think this record was ever played on the station, or anywhere else. That's why I rate the vinyl in NM condition. The cover has no tears, but it has the radio station markings, as does the inside label of the vinyl (see photos). This record is dedicated to the great pianist Wynton Kelly and to trumpeter Kenny Dorham who passed shortly after this recording.
