ARTIST: The McCrary TITLE: The McCrary (1973) LABEL: Cats Eye Records (#773-1)
CONDITION: (VG++/VG) The LP is in excellent condition, looks and plays NM with an occasional soft click at some of the quiet passages. The sleeve has some foxing on back, edge and ring wear evident too (see pictures). Blue sticker upper right corner front and upper right corner ding. NOTES: Very enjoyable album from start to finish. It's one of those albums that keeps moving and at the end of it you just want to flip it and start it all over again. Its got a little bit of everything; heavy bassy funk and Fender Rhodes dancy disco vibe juxtaposed by an uplifting sweet soul/gospel vibe throughout. Widely unknown and obscure, this is one of the great lost soul/funk albums of the early 70's and it gets better with every listen.
