The Nerves - self-titled EP (no, it is NOT actually called Hanging On The Telephone - that is merely the most famous song it contains)
Absolutely legendary late 70s Los Angeles Powerpop EP, and the only thing this fantastic trio released during its short lifetime.
This is a crazy rare original 1976 US private pressing, featuring a picture sleeve with a black backside. Not in anyway a counterfeit or reissue. This is the absolute real deal!

Picture Sleeve Grade: EX - There is a tiny touch of ringwear front and back, in the form of a very mild center ring. There is one little crease on the front, near the left seam (see close-up). There are also a few little wrinkles on the back, along the opening (see other close-up). It honestly looks much better in person than our photos show (that damn camera flash creates the illusion of significantly more wear, particularly on the back). Other than that, NO splits, NO tears, NO writing, and NO staining.
Vinyl Grade: NM - One of the most beautiful copies of this rare EP that you will EVER see! Beautifully glossy on each side. We gave it a thorough deep-groove cleaning using the Spin-Clean (we trust it will all of our most precious records), so that dust would not obscure any imperfections. Once clean, and under close inspection under strong and direct light, we could only barely make out the faintest faint sleeve mark here and there. I mean, we really had to look. And even at this view, each side still sparkled as if new! Probably played twice - once by the original owner, and once by us for our upload for this listing! Need we even elaborate on the labels? Spotless!
We have provided a rip of this entire EP, so that you can hear for yourselves just how clean it is! The rip was made after the cleaning. We have captured every single groove of this record - you can hear our stylus touching down at the start and picking up at the end, and naturally the space between each track has been left in. It should go without saying, but we did not use any sound enhancement software whatsoever. Every single (tiny) imperfection has been left in.
