Neville Brothers are the MASTERS of all things funky, syncopated, playful, sexy, danceable, jazzy and polyrhythmic . Not only did these five guys play on virtually every song recorded in New Orleans since the mid-sixties, these guys ARE New Orleans. Recorded in 1978, and issued to rave critical reviews and public reception, this gorgeous album is a masterpiece in more ways than one.

The PROMOTIONAL, RADIO STATION-, AUDITION OR DEMONSTRATION COPIES AND RELEASES (such as the one we have here) were often distributed among the radio stations before the record was released to the public, sometimes as much as four months ahead. These records are generally considered to be the "first among equals", which is to say the VERY FIRST generation and the VERY FIRST pressings of the particular title; a PROTOTYPE and the earliest known official pressing of the record.

(b)          The record is  apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(c)           Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

COVER IS (WEAK) NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has a neat, round PROMO cutout hole in one of the corners

-        Cover has a visible "wrinkle"(crease)  in one of the corners.

-         Cover has a minor 'bump' (dent) on the bottom seam,  surrounded by a (barely visible) water stain (less than 1 square inch in size)

-         Cover has two corners slightly  dinged  (nothing significant)

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the bottom seam (nothing significant)

-         Cover has a visible wrinkle (crease) in the cardboard base on the back panel

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No ring wear

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)
