THE NEW SEARCHERS LP The Searchers
MONO LP - Kapp KL-1412
When the Beatles led the "British Invasion" back in '64, a lot of great British groups followed. One of the very best was "The Searchers." These Liverpudlians were known for their terrific harmony and their "jangling" guitars. This album was released in early 1965 and contains two of their Billboard Top 40 hits: "Bumble Bee" and "What Have They Done to the Rain." The record and jacket are Near Mint. This album was signed in the early '90s, in Miami Beach, where the lads performed in concert. The line-up at that time was: John McNally, Frank Allen, Spencer James and Billy Adamson. Signing the album was group founder John McNally and long-time group member Frank Allen... who was in the group when the album was recorded. The inner sleeve is the original Kapp sleeve and depicts a number of Kapp issued albums of the day.
