various: ROCK WARS LP (1980 Thunderhead Records). Obscure three band album that was a result of a Knoxville, TN battle of the bands competition. The winners were an excellent southern rock band THE NEWS and got all of side one to showcase their five tracks. The other two bands (Balboa and Spellbound) are more power pop in sound and not bad at all but the highlight here is THE NEWS. Check out the audio samples of their tracks below. No reserve!
