THE NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND  was formed in Long Beach, CA in 1966, by founders Jeff Hanna and Bruce Kunkel who called themselves the New Coast Two, and later The Illegitimate Jug Band.  They played jam sessions at a Long Beach guitar shop, picked up a few additional musicians and formed THE NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND. This album, "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" was released in 1972 and put the BAND on the MAP.    It is a 3 record set featuring the Jerry Jeff Walker's cover song, "Mr. Bojangles" and it's a who's-who of 'world-famous artist', like Mother Maybelle Carter, Earl Scruggs, Roy Acuff, Doc Watson, Merle Travis, Jimmy Martin, and many, many more.   The tape recorder is running and things just happen!   Doc Watson can be heard saying  ' Let's Put Down A Take'.  This album is a True Classic, is very gently used and shipped USPS Media Mail.    They released "Will The Circle Be Unbroken, Vol II" in 1989.  FYI
