Description
This is a very rare PUNK / KBD split single by the UK bands THE OBTAINERS and THE MAG/SPYS from 1979. AN ORIGINAL, AND A MUST !!!. This is the FIRST TIME I have seen an original copy of this for sale on Ebay, or anywhere else come to that (And the only copy I have seen in the last 25 years!!!). There were only 100 copies made of this single, and this one is a guaranteed original pressing with the SERRATED EDGE and the STRAWBERRY stamp on the dead wax (that's factory stamped, not etched), also have GLITCH 1, and BOILING OVER etched on the dead wax, and if that's not enough this copy came with a guy that worked in the music industry in the late 70's !!! THIS SINGLE IS AN ORIGINAL PRESSINGS !!!
This was the only release on THE CURE's ROBERT SMITHS'S label FOOLS DANCE label, and THE MAG/SPYS where rumored to include MATTHIEU HARTLEY, and SIMON GALLUP as guest musicians, although they don't get credited on the insert.
The single came out on the FOOLS DANCE label, catalogue number GLITCH 1, a rare find and an ORIGINAL pressing !!!
The songs are:
THE OBTAINERS - YEH YEH YEH / PUSSY WUSSY.
THE MAG/SPYS - LIFEBLOOD / BOMBS.
All 4 songs are killer PUNK / KBD DIY tunes, and were included on one of the many KBD type compilations.
The single never came in a picture sleeve, and came with hand stuck stickers on it, and also comes with an insert come sticker, and the condition of the VINYL is EX- condition (UNPLAYED, but has some haze on the vinyl because of the original plastic sleeve it was housed in for 28 years), and INSERT / STICKER is IN EX+ CONDITION (only one fold).
There is A RESERVE on this rare PUNK / KBD single, but YOU WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER ORIGINAL ONE FOR SALE IN THE NEXT 30 YEARS !!!.
