Description

ARTIST: The Parton Family (Yes, Dolly Parton's sisters and mother.  To my knowledge Dolly herself is not on the recording).


TITLE: The Parton Family Sings "In The Garden"

LABEL:  Inspiration Records LPS I-0833 USA

YEAR:    1968


FORMAT:  Vinyl LP 


CONDITION: The record is VG+.  The record looks good with some light marks and a couple of scuffs but nothing deep.  It's shiny and appears to have been well cared for.

I have play tested it all the way through and there is light noise and some crackling on both sides.  Side 2 has audible noise in the dead wax but once the music starts, I can't hear it. 


It's not bad but considering the scarcity of this record, I want to mention it.  It's not perfect but it is a solid VG+.


I think the noise is due more to the quality of the pressing rather than play wear. 


Sleeve is excellent and in the shrink.  Original price stickers on the front.  One of them appears to be from a store in Knoxville, TN.


Overall, this is great copy of an extremely hard to find Gospel record featuring members of one of the most iconic musical families to ever hail from Eastern Tennessee.
