Up for auction is an excellent MONO LP copy of the 1965 self-titled album The Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
The disc itself looks in virtually mint condition as though it has hardly been played, if at all. There are no visible scratches or marks - more or less pristine, really. The label is unmarked (again, please see photos).
The cover is in great condition which is amazing considering that this album is almost 50 years old! I am not a record collector nor am I a record dealer. I am very much an amateur who has rediscovered an assortment of very interesting LPs which were collected in the 60's and 70's and have seen very little playing. I can therefore not really give a confident, objective grading but if pushed, I would say the disc and label are very close to being mint and the cover is very good + (probably a conservative assessment). There is a small amount of wear on the lower edge but apart from that, the cover is in great condition. Please see photos. The inner sleeve has pictures advertising albums of the 60’s but I am unsure if this is the original sleeve for this disc. It is undamaged but is a bit discoloured at the sides.
The disc has the code number EKL-294. The Matrices are EKL-294-UK-A and EKL-294-UK-B.
This is a great opportunity to own this iconic mono album in great condition – a real iconic blues album of the 60’s.
